How you can support us

Join a team of like-minded volunteers and help Pukenui Western Hills Forest thrive

We can’t do it without volunteering and funding

Preserving this unique environment matters because it protects wildlife, maintains biodiversity, and provides a space where people can connect with nature. Volunteering work is ongoing and can be challenging, but it simply can’t be done without community support. Join us today and help protect native forest, wildlife, and the outdoor environment you love.

Join us as a volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of our mahi in the forest. There’s a wide range of practical activities for all ages and fitness levels, from pest monitoring, trapping, planting, and track maintenance to photography and helping with public events. Administration and business skills are also valuable, supporting fundraising, education, and publicity. If you seek field experience or simply want to make a difference, on-the-job training is provided and every contribution counts.

Corporate sponsorship

Partnering with us as a corporate sponsor gives you and your business the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on native forest and wildlife conservation. Sponsorship can take many forms. You can provide funding specific projects, support events, or provide resources. Your company will be recognised for helping protect one of Northland’s natural treasures while demonstrating environmental responsibility to your staff, clients, and community.

Leaving a Legacy

You can help ensure the forest thrives for generations to come by including Pukenui Western Hills in your will or estate planning. Bequests are a lasting way to support conservation work, native revegetation, and education programmes. Leaving a legacy allows future volunteers, visitors, and wildlife to continue benefiting from your generosity.
